How does this product work?
At first sight, the collar might look like just another pet collar, but there’s a lot going on beneath the surface. The collar consists of a polymer matrix that slowly releases two active ingredients – imidacloprid and flumethrin – onto the layers of your pet’s skin and coat. The collar works to build up an invisible layer of protection that kills fleas and repels and kills ticks that come into contact with your pet.
Instructions
Use only one collar per animal. Fit collar around your pet's neck, allowing for 2 fingers to fit between the collar and your pet's neck to ensure a comfortable, yet snug, fit. Once collar is properly fitted, cut off any excess collar measuring 1" or longer. The collar should be worn continuously for the 8 month protection period. Check periodically and adjust fit if necessary, especially when puppies are rapidly growing. Keep the collar in the bag and in the outer packaging until use. Replace the collar after 8 months for optimal tick and flea protection.
Water Resistance
It is unnecessary to remove the collar before immersing your pet in water. The Collar remains effective following a shampoo treatment, swimming or exposure to rain or sunlight. In order to maintain an 8 month duration, pets must not be bathed more than once a month. For pets that swim once a month or more, the control duration is reduced to five months for fleas and seven months for ticks.

I've been using Seresto collars on my Boston Terrier for two years, and I'm extremely satisfied with the results. The first time, Pete had picked up fleas, but within a week of wearing the Seresto collar, we couldn't find a single flea on him or anywhere in our house—a huge relief. Now that we've started hiking twice a week with Pete, we occasionally find ticks on ourselves, but Petey-boy remains tick-free. If you're considering it, I highly recommend giving this product a try. Of course, as with any new medication for your pets, keep an eye on it in case of allergies. Don't just put it on and hope for the best!

Having a real flea issue with my dog, I decided a few years ago to go for this collar. Honestly, besides being cost-effective and lasting the entire season, it's genuinely effective. No fleas or ticks have managed to nestle on my dog. He tolerates the collar well, although he scratches a bit in the first few days. Highly recommended!
